Statistical multiplexing of video sources for packet switching networks

Communication networks are fast evolving towards truly integrated networks handling all types of traffic. They employ integrated switching technologies for voice. video and data. Statistical or asynchronous time division multiplexing of full motion video sources is an initial step towards packetized video networks. The main goal is to utilize the common communication channel efficiently, without loosing quality at the receiver. This work discusses the concept of using statistical multiplexing for packet video communications. The topology of a single internal packet network to support ISDN services has been adopted. Simulations have been carried out to demonstrate the statistical smoothing effect of packetized video in the networks having high speed links. Results indicate that the channel rate per source decreased in an exponential manner as the number of sources increased. An expression for the average usage time t of the channel has been derived in terms of channel rate per source and the number of sources multiplexed. Also the average usage time of the channel is higher for buffered data than that of the multiplexed data. The high speed communication links in the internal network are lightly loaded, which indicates that these links can accommodate more data

This research paper delves into the realm of deep text clustering algorithms with the aim of enhancing the accuracy of document classification. In recent years, the fusion of deep learning techniques and text clustering has shown promise in extracting meaningful patterns and representations from textual data. This paper provides an in-depth exploration of various deep text clustering methodologies, assessing their efficacy in improving document classification accuracy. Delving into the core of deep text clustering, the paper investigates various feature representation techniques, ranging from conventional word embeddings to contextual embeddings furnished by BERT and GPT models.By critically reviewing and comparing these algorithms, we shed light on their strengths, limitations, and potential applications. Through this comprehensive study, we offer insights into the evolving landscape of document analysis and classification, driven by the power of deep text clustering algorithms.Through an original synthesis of existing literature, this research serves as a beacon for researchers and practitioners in harnessing the prowess of deep learning to enhance the accuracy of document classification endeavors

Outcome of treatment of proximal tibial plateau fractures by minimally invasive percutaneous plating osteosynthesis technique

Background: Fractures of the proximal tibia are accompanied by a wide range of severity which may include stable undisplaced fractures with minimal soft tissue injury to highly comminuted unstable fractures, and severe soft tissue involvement. With the better understanding of fracture healing biology and biomechanics of fracture fixation and healing, the trend of treatment is towards biological fixation, which can be accomplished by Minimally Invasive Percutaneous Plating Osteosynthesis (MIPPO) technique. Methods: Demographic data of patients were recorded on admission and thorough history and clinical examination was done. The fractures were assessed for soft tissue injuries and followed by radiological assessment of fracture with schatzkers classification. The surgeries included anterolateral and anteromedial approaches for all patients with ‘inverted hockey stick incision’ and were treated with MIPPO. They were regularly followed up at 6-8 weeks interval till complete fracture union. A clinical and radiological evaluation was carried out using the modified Rasmussen clinical and radiological criteria. Results: Out of the 20 patients treated, most of them were males and belonged to the age group of 20-40 years (75%).  Unilateral fractures were more common than bilateral fractures and were of the type 4 and type 5 of Schatzkers classification which was usually associated with high velocity RTA. One patient each had infection, varus deformity and knee joint stiffness. 10 fractures gave excellent result, 7 fractures healed with good results. Only 2 of the patients showed fair results and 1 had poor result.  Conclusions: All the fractures treated with MIPPO technique was found to be rapidly healing by secondary fracture union and hence achieving strong bone union across the fracture site due to inherent benefits of less tissue damage and minimal disturbance of fracture site biology

Cannabis associated mental health effects: a review.

According to the latest drift in Western countries, many lawmakers are trying to formulate policy to legalize the usage of in the case of mentally vulnerable populations such as those suffering from depression, paranoia, and excessive anxiety. This particular trend has been due to short term success in the case of mood upliftment. derivatives produce effects on both mood and cognitive function, which can be a double-edged sword if not followed with proper dosage. Beneficial effects, however, are limited and studies documenting those and even more meagre. Detrimental effects, especially those suffering from various hallucinating and delusional states, have been reported extensively in the literature. Here in the review article, we have tried to study and summarize various effects of Cannabis as well as Cannabis-derived products in the case of people who have various mental conditions. We have also tried to consider addiction to these substances and hence develop a framework for proper utilization of in mentally ill people. Many clinicians are also in a dilemma when prescribing a Cannabis-based product to treat psychotic and mood-based disorders. Hence, a better understanding of the process of Cannabis-based treatment for the vulnerable population is necessary

Palladium Catalyzed Direct Acylation of Iodo-acetanilides/Iodo-phenyl Acetates: Domino One-pot Synthesis of 2-Quinolinones

    No full text
[Pd]-catalyzed direct acylation of iodoacetanilides/iodophenyl acetates with aldehydes, was presented. Simple bench-top aldehydes were used as the non-toxic acylating agents. This protocol comprises direct coupling with aldehydes without activating the carbonyl group and without the directing group assistance. The strategy was applied to a domino one-pot synthesis of 2-quinolinones via acylation and intramolecular aldol condensation. Significantly, the strategy was extended to the domino one-pot synthesis of drugs and bioactive compounds
